hela Sverige Vattenfall is now looking for a Sustainability Purchasing Specialists for fuels within Corporate Staff Function Sustainability with location Amsterdam or Stockholm.
Corporate Staff Function Sustainability is responsible for defining Vattenfall?s overall sustainability direction and work, including securing responsible sourcing and purchasing. The unit owns the Code of Conduct for Suppliers.
Your responsibilities
You will be responsible for driving the implementation of the Code of Conduct for Suppliers primarily within three of Vattenfall?s Business Areas (BAs); Markets, Generation and Heat. You will report to the Head of Sustainability, within Staff Function Strategic Development but since your work has a strong operational focus, you will be embedded in Business Area Market.
Your responsibilities include:
• Support the three Business areas with the continued alignment and development of their fuel sourcing process with the overall strategic framework and direction for the Code of Conduct for Suppliers. This work includes e.g. benchmarking and developing procedures and methodologies
• Conduct in-house Code of Conduct for Supplier risk assessments at country, sector/product/project and supplier level
• Order, participate in and evaluate desktop assessments and site audits from external research providers and audit companies, and provide recommendations to the three Business areas regarding supplier corrective action plans
• Support the three BAs in their dialogues with suppliers with respect to the Code of Conduct for Suppliers, including site visits to suppliers, and ensuring that corrective action plans are implemented by suppliers and verified
• Support the three BAs to drive work within industry initiatives relating to sustainability risk assessment, site audits, corrective action plans, supplier dialogue, capacity building and continuous improvement
• Contribute to the development of sustainability due diligence expertise at Vattenfall through Vattenfall?s Competence Centre for Sustainability Due Diligence and coordinate tailor-made internal trainings
Qualifications and Experience
• At the minimum you have an SA8000 audit certification and hands-on experience of conducting SA8000 audits within the extractive sector in Latin America, Eastern Europe or Africa. In addition, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certification and audit experience is advantage
• Experience of working with an industry initiative to improve sustainability performance in the supply chain is an advantage
• Our best candidate have first-hand knowledge and understanding of a Latin American or Eastern European culture and preferably are proficient in Spanish or an Eastern European language
• We are looking for a person that are guided by ethics and values, a person with personal maturity that is stable and has the courage to stand up and follow-through, not giving in when you encounter difficulties
• As a person you are convincing, clear, self-driven and courageous and you have a strong ability to listen and create good relations across organizational and geographical borders
• You have the ability to work both independently and as member of a team
• You are analytical, structured and you have very good communication skills both verbally and written
