We are currently seeking a Sustainability Manager, ABB Sweden, to lead and drive the implementation of our sustainability strategy across our Swedish business.
The ideal candidate will act as the face of ABB Sweden for both internal and external stakeholders in the sustainability area. As part of the country management leadership team, this role will report to the Country Managing Director. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving our sustainability programs, policies, and initiatives, ensuring compliance with both ABB and legal requirements. In addition, they will lead a team of experts and have indirect reports in the health and security area.
Depending on your background, this role can be combined with another country or business role related to sustainability or public affairs. This is an excellent opportunity to drive real change and make a significant impact within our organization.
Your responsibilities
Represent and be the spokesperson for ABB Sweden externally in the area of sustainability when in contact with customers, authorities, and other stakeholders.
Coordinate the country management system for health, safety, environment and energy and ensure fiduciary HSE duties are managed in a solid way.
Cooperate with other functions and business partners to drive performance.
You will be a manager and lead a team of experts and have indirect reports within the health and security area.
Engage external (e.g., customers, suppliers, academia) and internal stakeholders to report on, raise awareness of, gain commitment to and obtain feedback on ABB's sustainability and health and security efforts and performance.
Conduct trainings and give presentations about ABB's sustainability work internally and externally.
Your background
A master's or bachelor's degree a relevant area of education.
Experience in Swedish and EU environmental legislation and its practical implementation is a prerequisite.
A strong communicator with the ability to guide the business in a clear and understandable way in your areas of expertise, as well as presenting for larger groups (external and internal).
Experienced in being a representative of a company within the sustainability area.
Strong collaboration skills.
Strong integrity and a will to do what is right for the environment and the business.
Fluency in Swedish and English.
