What will your day look like?
The Supply Chain Programme Manager role is a key leadership role within R&D Supply Chain, Pharmaceutical Development. R&D Supply Chain is accountable for forecasting, planning and delivering end-to end supply of drug substance, drug product and packed patient kits distributed to study sites. Scope is global clinical studies in different therapeutic areas.

The role holder will manage one or more supply chains for late stage projects and/or a portfolio of early stage projects. You will lead cross-functional Supply Chain Teams and represent the R&D Supply Chain function on Pharmaceutical Development Project Teams throughout the life cycle of the project. You will be working in collaboration with customer functions to influence and manage demand, and is responsible for all R&D Supply Chain project deliverables to the business through leadership of the Supply Chain Team.

Major Accountabilities/Responsibilities:                    
• Lead a Supply Chain Team to generate options for how the supply requirements of a development project can be met, including sourcing (in or out), timing of investments, costs, identification and management of risks and application of good supply chain management practice.
• Represent the Supply Chain Function on the Pharmaceutical Development project team to contribute to and influence the development strategy for the project, ensuring that the needs, risks and opportunities of the supply chain are taken into account.
• In collaboration with customers, determine, influence and manage demand for drug substance, drug product and patient packs, including requirements for placebo, comparators and rescue/challenge medication.
• Monitor the performance of the supply chain and optimise for higher volume phases of the project, balancing speed, quality and cost with respect to the agreed level of risk.
• Manage the budget for supply activities and materials for the project.
• Ensure ongoing supply through transition from development sources to commercial sources of manufacture.
• Manage change in demand and supply, resolve issues, escalating when appropriate.
• Ensure timely delivery of information to meet internal and external regulatory and legal requirements.

You will be employed by Adecco and working as a hired consultant at our client AstraZeneca in Mölndal. The assignment will begin in October 2015 and will run one year ahead. The assignment is a full time position, daytime.

Who would enjoy working here?
You have a degree in supply chain related or drug development discipline or equivalent qualification or experience, with minimum 5 years of experience.

The requirements to manage this role as a Supply Chain Programme Manager are following:
Extensive experience working in supply chainsSignificant experience managing and influencing customer demandsIn depth knowledge of R&D supply chain and drug development processExperience of project management.

Your are a person who has technical skills and mindset in supply chain management including demand management supply chain design/optimisation and delivery. You may have a track record of good project management and good knowledge of risk identification and management. Furthermore you have good influencing, negotiating and problem-solving skills, including across functional, geographical and cultural boundaries. The role require excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
