We are looking for a commercially minded and technically driven Portfolio Manager to join our HVDC Supply Chain team - a key role where you will lead and coordinate a portfolio of complex, high-impact projects within high-voltage direct current technology. As part of our Supply Chain Portfolio Management Team, you will take joint responsibility for operational and strategical decisions and ensure that projects are delivered on time, on budget, and in full compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
In this role, you will support Supply Chain project managers and drive prioritization across the portfolio. You'll collaborate with internal and external stakeholders - including engineering, supply chain, quality, suppliers, and clients - to resolve obstacles and maintain momentum. You will also monitor progress, manage risks, and ensure lessons learned are fed back into future tenders and execution strategies.
HVDC is a cornerstone of the energy transition, enabling efficient and sustainable power transmission across long distances. This is your opportunity to be part of a technology that's shaping the future.
How you'll make an impact:
Lead and coordinate Supply Chain execution across the project portfolio, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
Act as SCM representative in the Portfolio Management Team and Stage Gate Assessments, contributing to operational decisions and reviews.
Prioritize and manage cross-project demands, serving as first escalation point for SCM-related issues and deviations.
Monitor and report on supply chain performance using KPIs including cost, timing, staffing, quality, HSE, and progress.
Identify and resolve Supply Chain obstacles, implementing mitigation strategies to safeguard delivery and budget.
Drive sourcing strategies tailored to project needs, ensuring supplier selection supports technical and commercial objectives.
Ensure compliance with internal policies, ISO standards, and HSE requirements across all portfolio projects.
Your background:
Proven experience in project or portfolio management within large-scale infrastructure, energy, or industrial sectors - preferably HVDC or similar high-voltage technologies.
Academic background in engineering, business, or project management, or equivalent practical experience.
Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to balance technical complexity, commercial priorities, and stakeholder needs.
Excellent stakeholder management across internal teams, suppliers, and clients - with a collaborative and solution-oriented mindset.
Solid understanding of project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
Experience in risk management and compliance, including HSE, quality assurance, and contractual governance.
Leadership in high-pressure environments, with a track record of driving task forces or turnaround initiatives in critical project phases.
Familiarity with project tools and systems, such as MS Project, SAP, Primavera or similar portfolio management platforms.
