Job Summary
Microwave backhaul continues to play a very important role in the evolution of 5G. Being part of the Microwave Supply Chain Management team within Networks Supply you will be a key player enabling excellent supply flows, essential to ensure customer satisfaction and sales profitability on top level as well as outperforming competition in our industry.
Job description
As a NPI Planner you are responsible for planning microwave prototype runs and pre-series in accordance with R&D Programs. You will be working closely with R&D Program Managers within Product Introduction Management and part of a team delivering future products in the microwave portfolio. The role will include master data, planning components and required test equipment as well as minimizing inventory and scrap. An innovative and open mind-set is crucial to simplify work using the latest technology as well as meeting future competence requirements within Supply Chain Management.
The main responsibility will include, but not be limited to:
Team member in assigned R&D projects handling NPI planning
Updating master data in our production systems
Master data maintenance according to standard procedures
NPI material planning
NPI stock accuracy
Manage Last-Time-Buy and product revision changes
Managing product phase in and out
Prepare hand-over to volume production
Competence:
Formal education required: Master of Science or equivalent
Team player with highly developed target focus to meet R&D release plans
Innovative mind-set and energy contributing to time to market when releasing products
Highly developed ability to act and drive own work as well as flexibility to act quickly towards potential changes
Structured way of working, analytic and able to handle great number of activities in a parallel
Good understanding of dependencies and consequences related to costs, inventory, scrap and similar
Background in planning preferable
Good verbal and written communication and presentation skills
Fluent in English
Basic microwave product knowledge and SAP
Microwave Supply Chain Management is part of Networks Supply within Ericsson Business Area Networks responsible for developing and managing the global end to end supply chains for Microwave Networks products throughout the entire product life cycle. Manufacturing sites are located in Brazil, Hungary, India and Sweden. Microwave Supply Chain Management is located in Borås, Sweden and accountable as microwave supply lead site.
