About the role
You will work as a Strategic Purchaser in a team of four people. Our purchasing department is located at our office in Brännland, a couple of minutes outside Umeå. You will work both independently and in team to run purchasing projects and you will be responsible for product range and strategies within your area.
Responsibilities of the role includes:
• Negotiations with new and old suppliers,
• Project management within local or global projects,
• Support factories operationally regarding deliveries and commercial problems,
• Manage the RFQ process locally and globally,
• Drive commercial and company-specific goals forward,
• Benchmarking activities,
• Contract management,
• Make cost calculations, identify and find cost savings.
To be successful in this role, it is important that you can work independently with a flexible approach in a dynamic environment. You should also be stress resistant and able to handle several things at the same time. The role includes some international travel. The employment is valid until further notice.
Your profile
You have a degree in economics and/or a degree in engineering and five to ten years of work experience in purchasing, or you have work experience that is equivalent. It is advantageous if you have previously worked in the manufacturing industry.
We are looking for someone who is motivated, stress resistant and organized in their work. To succeed in this role, it is important to be a team player and have a good communication ability.
We operate in a global environment, which requires that you can communicate in English both speaking and writing.
