Your future challenge
In the role as strategic purchaser, you have the primary responsibility for business relationships with a number of our suppliers. The responsibility includes the long-term operating and developing the business relationship while ensuring that the supplier fulfills his obligations. You are the primary interface with the supplier and operating procurement issues for Saab's current projects in cooperation with project management, engineers, component engineers and purchaser.
The work is characterized by numerous of contacts both within the company and with external suppliers companies. It contains the challenge of a commercial supplier responsibility, negotiation, relationship development and project work.
Your work also involves ensuring the right supply base through evaluating, qualify, monitor and develop our suppliers to take responsibility for complete deliveries. Work is conducted in team that you lead.
Todays demands
This role means that you interact with different parts of the company and therefore place high demands on to communicate well. As a person you should be leaders, results oriented, analytical and able to work well in groups as independent.
You must have a strong interest in running business, negotiations as well as knowledge and understanding of contracts, contract management and procurement processes. If you also have experience in purchasing or managing technology projects it is a great advantage.
You have an academic education in engineering, economics or legal. You must be able to express yourself well in written and spoken English and Swedish.
