Senior Strategic Buyer for Powder in 3D Additive Manufacturing to join us at Siemens Industrial Turbomachinery AB, in Finspång
Do you want to influence the development in the exciting gas and steam turbine service business? Would you like to become a part of the growing service business with a strong focus on strategic development within procurement? And do you want to become a key member of the development of the new additive manufacturing within Siemens? If so, read on.
We are currently searching for a strategic buyer for the new commodity Powder 3D Additive Manufacturing. This commodity aims at supplying our high-tech workshop for 3D printing with powder as the key material for our 3D manufacturing. As a senior strategic buyer, you work proactively to secure that our internal and external customers receive their spare parts at the correct time to the correct cost and correct quality.
The strategic procurement department within Service in Finspång and Lincoln currently consists of 10 employees who works individually in different commodity areas, but also in cluster teams on global IGT (Industrial Gas Turbines) level.
Your tasks?
• To develop your commodity dossier and purchasing strategy in accordance to quality, cost and delivery aspects.
• To build a competitive supplier base for long term by identifying and evaluating suppliers worldwide.
• Working with RFQ:s (Request For Quotation), negotiations and agreements for Siemens strategic 3D powder suppliers.
• Working with supplier evaluation and supplier development.
• Develop interfaces to engineering, logistics and other purchasing functions within the company where you contribute with knowledge about processes and purchasing from our business.
• To reach the OTD (On Time Delivery) and procurement saving goals (Target costing), together with your team.
• To Initiate and lead continuous improvement, where you contribute to develop the service purchasing function.
• Manage regionalization work for purchasing together with relevant functions within Siemens.
Your profile?
• 5-10 years' experience of qualified strategic purchasing from the manufacturing industry.
• Good theoretical knowledge in engineering, preferably MSc or equivalent.
• Very good knowledge of our corporate language English, both spoken and written.
• Previous experience from a role with a lot of international contacts.
• You have the ability to read and understand technical drawings.
• You have very good knowledge in Excel. Previous experience of working in SAP is a plus.
• As a person, you have good communication skills, are responsive, collaborative and relationship building in your contact with other people in a global context.
• You are ambitious, structured and like business with a great quality and cost awareness.
• You also have analytical skills where you see the context, priorities right and have the ability to work with complex issues. We also see that you have a strategic approach and a holistic perspective, such as you see how the purchasing function affects other parts of the company.
