Job Responsibilities
As a Strategic Account Leader (SAL), you will act as the "General Manager" for one of our key strategic accounts. You will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies, drive business growth, and create customer value. The role involves direct leadership of account teams in the region, with indirect leadership in all other regions for the customer. It requires taking the global lead sales coordination and profitably manage the business. Within this purpose, the leader is expected to build a strong pipeline for growth to achieve the above, based on business volume and improve profitably of existing business while understanding all aspects of the Danfoss customer relationship. The SAL should have an appetite for innovation, be a self-driven leader, and comfortable embracing technology and digital tools.
You can expect the following tasks and responsibilities:
• Responsible for the Strategic Account, globally.
• Develop strategies and execute plans to meet profitable growth goals.
• Develop relationships in all regions and grow market share.
• Coach team on managing pipeline and value selling.
• Execute agreed sales plans timely.
• Effectively leading Account Manager in alignment with the Best Customer Connect and Unique Customer Experience philosophies.
• Accountable for the achievement of sales, price, profitability, and cost targets.
• Work closely with the Business Unit management to align customers' needs.
• Use and align input from Business Units to decide on Danfoss Power Solutions sales strategies to achieve profitable growth.
• Performs initiatives to achieve the "Unique Customer Experience".
• Determines and manages the prioritization of customer activities.
• Gives input and recommends current/future OEM needs of products, solutions & services to achieve alignment for respective Business.
Background & Skills
To qualify for this role, you should have:
• A degree (Bachelor/Master) in mechanical, electrical and/or Business with a good technical understanding.
• Preferably 5+ years of sales experience in the hydraulics industry, combined with sales management and account management training.
• Experience in leading multicultural teams, managing accounts, and developing sales.
• Willingness to travel for business (25%).
• Ability to operate in a complex and international matrix organization.
• Strong selling, negotiation, and interpersonal communication skills.
• A strategic mindset and a motivated and responsible attitude.
• Knowledge of the Danfoss Power Solutions portfolio is a plus.
• Fluency in English (written and verbal).
