As a Statistician at AstraZeneca you will have the opportunity to work for one of the world leading Pharmaceutical companies with a fantastic pipeline and to make a positive difference to future health research.

You will be part of the Biometrics and Information Sciences team within AstraZeneca's late phase development. We are looking for experienced Statisticians with an interest in pharmaceutical development, aiming to bring some of the brightest talents to Gothenburg and Gaithersburg.

As a Statistician you will provide statistical expertise to the design, conduct, evaluation, documentation and regulatory submissions of our clinical development programs. This will also include work of a more exploratory nature, e.g. modeling and simulation as well as other means to improve decision making.

You will part of a highly collaborative team including quantitative, technical, regulatory and scientific expertise and together with your colleagues contribute to the design, interpretation, documentation and regulatory submission of our drug development programs. You will need to understand the processes, technology and services they rely on to be able to provide advice, guidance and identify opportunities for improvement.

Essential Requirements

* Master degree or PhD in Statistics, preferable with a strong mathematical foundation
* Experience from Pharma cardiovascular, regulatory or related fields are an advantage.
* Another asset would be experience in using statistical software such as SAS or S-Plus/R.
* Experience to work is in cross functional projects in an international environment
* Excellent in English, written and spoken
