WORK TASKS
At ISÄ, our vision is to inspire lifelong learning through collaboration, communication, and taking positive actions in our environment. We are looking for teachers, who can help us realize this vision in using inquiry-based pedagogy of the IBO*.
If you are open minded to learn the progressive pedagogy and love to collaborate, ISÄ is the place for you!
It would get even better if you are:
• Knowledgeable in strategies for Inclusion, to support Homeroom teachers with adaptations in the class-room.
• Ready to inquire and curious to look for solutions and resources. We have the scope and sequences, the curriculum, the framework. We understand you might not know it all and appreciate if you are willing to find out and develop the skill or knowledge needed for the task at hand.
• Able to exercise initiative in applying thinking skills critically and creatively in your student support plans, classroom management and teaching-learning environment.
• Able to communicate effectively and collaborate willingly with colleagues, students and parents. It will be an added bonus if you are open to express your ideas and information creatively, and in many ways in the classroom and with your colleagues.
• Responsible for completing your tasks and duties, timely. Prepare and plan your classes and complete the required documentation. And since we have over 50 nationalities, be principled to respect the needs and dignity of individual, groups or communities.
• Open minded to appreciate your own culture and the traditions and values of others. In a classroom, be open-minded to learn new pedagogy or approaches and adapt to student needs.
• Able to show empathy to your colleagues and students and respect their feelings and learning needs. At the same time be caring enough to lead them towards their holistic development, as a global citizen.
• A Risk Taker. We know that you might not have all the answers, but are courageous to explore new roles, ideas and classroom strategies.
• Able to appreciate the balance of intellectual, spiritual and physical self, and achieve wellbeing for yourself.
• Reflective of your strengths and weakness and are committed to professional development. We have weekly training-sessions and require teachers to attend these.
We strive to inspire our students to develop and demonstrate these Learner Profiles, and therefore, seek teachers who can lead by example.
