This foundation is what we are building in the Ecosystem team at Axis. It is a corner stone on which we will continue to build value both internally and externally.
If you are excited about complex software systems and how to deliver value to developers, system integrators and product owners, this is a role for you.
WHAT WILL YOU WORK WITH?
We currently have an open position in the team that designs the developer and application framework. In the role as Solution Architect you will be the technical lead for our next generation development and application platform. You will be instrumental in the design and architectural choices of the platform where you represent our voice in the wider Axis R&D organization.
You will keep a wide system perspective on the solution requiring close interaction with many different stakeholders at Axis. You will be involved in many different tasks ranging from;
Complete solution architecture
API framework architecture
Development kit packaging and evolution
Coding of select parts of the solution
Familiarity with Docker, cloud platforms, and Go for programming is a plus. The technology base for our products is largely in C and you will be exposed to coding for both embedded and cloud platforms.

Ecosystem belongs to the R&D organization at Axis. We design and build the components that provides the Axis development and application platform for our main partners and third-party developers.

WHO ARE YOU?
You most likely hold a master's degree in computer science or equivalent. You are very familiar with modern distributed system solutions, various container technologies and both cloud and embedded development.
We think that you have developed great communication skills that you combine with a technical depth and an understanding of the opportunities and difficulties in developing distributed software. A good understanding of how you design and maintain a platform that other organizations will use daily is also beneficial.
Your social talent and curious nature make you thrive in a complex environment where it is your own proactive actions that move things forward. We also think that you want to stay coding so that you are close to the delivered solution.
