Driver Information
The Driver Information group, which is a part of the Driver Interaction & Infotainment department, today consists of around 20 dedicated engineers responsible for HW-, SW- and System development of the following displays in the vehicle:
Driver Information Module (DIM)
Center Stack Display (CSD)
Head-Up Display (HUD)
The group is also responsible for the driver information functionality such as Seat Belt Reminder, Fuel Level Indication, Vehicle Speed Indication, Clock, Service Reminder etc.Project Management and Technical Expertise within displays is also part of the group's responsibilities.
As Software Responsible you will be working closely together with the suppliers but also with a lot of different people within the company. We are therefore looking for you who are self-driven, positive and a good team player.
Main responsibilities as a SW responsible engineer
* Updating SW requirement specifications
* Work in close cooperation with suppliers to clarify questions regarding specifications, work processes, system design and quality assurance activities
* Follow up of suppliers and test results
* Management and follow up of internal SW acceptance- and integration tests
* Issue management and related investigations
* Status reporting and software delivery to the projects
* Managing various company internal interfaces, e.g. electrical interface, signaling interface
Required qualifications
* Master of Science in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or equivalent working experience
* Experience from SW development
* Requirement specification and management
* Good knowledge about distributed systems and system design
* Ability to coordinate and actively drive several teams
* Demonstrated capacity for logical analysis and problem resolution
* Structured, accurate and used to summarize and present the status of your work
* Ability to independently plan, manage and monitor your work towards set goals
* Good communication skills
* Positive
* Excellent English skills, verbally and in writing
* Driver's license B (car)
Meritorious qualifications
* Experience from displays and/or optics
* Knowledge from high speed video links such as LVDS, APIX etc
* General competence in electronics and mechanical design
* Experience from working with Volvo systems such as Elektra, Teamcenter and CarCom
* Experience from the Volvo Product Development System
* Used to practical work
