Are you interested in software quality assurance and strive for continuous improvements?
We are now looking for a Software Quality Engineer (SWQA) to lead the software quality assurance in our projects within the department. As a SWQA, you shall facilitate that potential software quality problems are identified as early as possible in the development process. You shall also facilitate the process to identify measures to solve or mitigate the identified problems.
You will be assigned to work in projects, where software for different components are identified to be a part of the planned vehicle deliverables. The main task for SWQA is to assure that defined software processes and methods are used and that their related work products (such as requirement documents, plans etc.) are developed with intended quality.
As a person, you are interested in new challenges and have a great commitment to develop processes and way of working in teams. You are a good listener and can communicate in a clear way. You put the customer in focus and preferable experienced from previous work with embedded systems. You will actively work with project teams and towards our suppliers. You have the ability to create networks and like to work in complex organizations.
Main responsibilities
The SWQA engineer shall write and maintain the project specific Quality Assurance Plan. The SWQA shall support and follow up the function, system and component development teams planning, to assure that quality assurance activities are planned and performed according to the Quality Assurance Plan.
* Maintain and assure the usage of the generic Software Quality assurance and Development Requirements SW SOW (SW Statement of Work) template.
* Assure that suppliers adhere to the SW SOW.
* Assure supplier HW/SW joint reviews and delivery reviews.
* Coordinate and participate in supplier SPICE assessments and follow up reviews.
* Assist in performing Supplier Action Days
* Review and approve the SW Engineering Journal (documentto assure the software quality process in the projects).
* Over time contribute to develop methods and processes for higher quality and efficiency.
* Actively take part in and contribute to the work in the P/T Control Section management team.
Required qualifications
* Master of Science in Electrical, Mechatronic/Software Engineering or equivalent
* Practical and theoretical knowledge about the Volvo product development process and especially the electrical development process within embedded systems.
* Very good SW Engineering knowledge.
* Experience from SW development.
* Quality Assurance experience.
* Knowledge of SW maturity models (ISO15504, Automotive SPICE, CMMi, etc).
* Capability and willingness to teach and document technical knowledge.
* Fluent in English (spoken and written).

* Ability to take initiatives, plan, manage and follow up your and your groups work towards overarching objectives.
* A team player contribute to cross-functional work within the department.
