Powertrain Control Systems develops control systems for engines and powertrains for the different products of the Volvo Group. This includes electric hardware design of control units, sensors, and harnesses, as well as software development and optimization. The department consists of about 165 people in eleven groups.
The group Software Engineering is responsible for the development of software platforms for engine and transmission management systems. This includes hardware drivers and control algorithms for electronic hardware control. The group also have a responsibility for configuration management, methods and tool support for the department?s software development. The development is performed with modern tools and processes with a high level of automated code generation.
We are currently seeking for new colleagues who want to take an active part in the development of Volvo Powertrains future control systems.
You will have the opportunity to work with several aspects of software development as well as influence process improvements for requirement breakdown, software design, software implementation and verification.
Your assignments will vary depending on the current project portfolio but will concern development of low level software like hardware drivers, fuel injection drivers, electrical diagnostics and boot loaders.

As we operate in a global environment you need to be fluent in English.
Education:
A graduate school diploma in computer or electrical engineering or similar.
