hela Sverige We are now looking for a Software Asset Manager.
In this role you will be reporting to the Manager for IT Asset Management. You will be responsible for handling the software asset challenges for one or more dedicated area's.
Role Mission & Context
The main task of the Software Asset Manager is to act as a global specialist for software assets under his/her scope and actively drive and support the Volvo Group when it comes to software asset management related matters & challenges.
Key Responsibilities
• Increase IT efficiency
• Review current processes and update or/and design new processes around software asset management following best practice
• Assure that required solutions for inventory/discovery/metering/license management exists & put demands on the accuracy of software inventory data
• Advisory for licensing (identify savings opportunities for renewals, software licensing, and services)
• Operationally manage contracts and relationships to maximize value creation and costs for software licensing, maintenance, and service offerings.
• Reduce software costs
• Drive towards elimination or reallocation of unused software licenses
• Consolidation of software assets
• Limit business and legal risks
• Enforce license compliancy, perform internal audit and inventory follow up
• Secure that applications procurement and distribution is performed in line with Volvo Group policies
• Act as main contact when external audits occur
• Operation
• Participate in the preparation and monitoring of the consolidated budget for software/licenses
• Support the strategic, tactical and commercial discussions and decisions that affect software and licenses (according to vendor interaction model)
• Participate in negotiations and supplier dialogues with the supplier, external partner(s) and IT purchasing when applicable
• Information
• Be updated within the area (new licensing models, trends and be part of communities etc)
• Perform regular status updates to affected management teams about the software asset situation (volumes, utilizations etc)

Wanted Profile
As a Software Asset Manager you must have proven experience in the software asset management area. You are expected to create a trustful relationship with your stakeholders & external partners. You need to demonstrate core values according to the Volvo Group. Last but not least, you are true change agent who can work in an open & challenging area.
Since you are part of a global unit, with global responsibilities, you will need to actively cooperate with various stakeholders and navigate with ease in a multi-cultural environment. You also have to have a strong quality focus and a personal drive to reach the objectives and targets set for your area.
Required Competencies
• Experience from leading in a global context, cross cultural awareness and skills
• Excellent communication & presentation skills are a requirement
• Experience with vendor management is an asset
• Technical background is an asset
• Relevant university degree
• Complete proficiency in English is a requirement
• Experience with Software Asset Management is an asset
