Elevhälsan på skolan samverkar med skolledning och lärare både på individ- och gruppnivå. The position of A School Counsellor is to provide support for students in relation to personal and academic issues. This person is expected to provide leadership in terms of student needs as well as personal and social curriculum development and implementation. ALL
DOCUMENTATION IS IN ENGLISH. The Counsellor is responsible for the following: - Personal counselling for primary and middle school students. - Keeping confidential information in relation to students, staff and parents. - Coordination and evaluation of responses to student needs (working closely with teachers, the Student Support Services staff, administrative staff and parents as well as external agencies). - Organising parent workshops in relation to transitioning, parenting, children's behaviour and drug education. - Liaisoning with the school nurse in relation to student needs that have components that overlap their responsibilities. - Providing leadership in Stockholm International School's Fair and Equal Treatment Plan's (FET) development and its implementation. - Providing leadership in issues related to the transitioning of students and parents in and out of the school. - Providing leadership related to the social and emotional development of the students.
Beskrivning av kvalifikationer: Vi söker dig som är utbildad kuratör (socionom) och har dokumenterad vana av samtal med barn. Utöver det kräver tjänsten följande av dig: - samarbetsförmåga eftersom du kommer att ingå i ett team samt kommer att arbeta tillsammans med lärarna för elevernas bästa. - en god förmåga att arbeta självständigt med ett övergripande perspektiv på vår verksamhet - väl införstådd i social- och sekretesslagstiftningen och hur de närliggande instanserna som socialtjänst och BUP fungerar. - goda kunskaper i det engelska och svenska språket, både i tal och skrift.
The School Counsellor is expected to have: - Formal qualifications as a school counsellor - Experience in Fair and Equal Treatment work and Anti-bullying interventions. - Experience in an international school type environment. - Excellent organisational skills. - Excellent communication skills. - The ability to establish rapport with adults and students. - The ability to work effectively in a team - A pleasant and friendly personality. - The ability to maintain confidentiality. - The ability to function effectively under pressure. - The ability to show initiative and work independently.
Andra uppgifter: Time allocation: 100% = 93% because of School Holidays Conditions: The School Counsellor is expected to be on campus from 8am to 5pm each day. He/she is exempt from supervision duties and after school activities. The School Counsellor reports for duty two weeks before the school year starts.
