HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) is a business unit within Hitachi ABB Power Grids located in Ludvika. The unit develops, manufactures and sells DC transmission systems on a global market. This developed HVDC technology is used to transmit electricity over long distances and for power transmission via submarine cables. HVDC is also used to connect power systems. www.hitachiabb-powergrids.com/. For our upgrade projects we are looking for a multiskilled person that will plan and coordinate our site activities and also take on the role as site manager in some of our upgrades.
Site Coordinator is located at the field operations' home office in Ludvika and is the site's contact person for the home organization.
Your responsibilities
Site Coordinator tasks:
Contribute to detailed planning of the schedule for site operations - installation and commissioning and prepare project specific QA documents (quality assurance).
Ordering site administration materials, tools and instruments needed during the site activities.
HSE site preparations (Health, Safety & Environment); ensuring that documents and instructions match the local standard or customers' specific requirements
Create documentation for contractor procurement and take an active part in the procurement process.
Participate in tender work or coming projects, responsible for financial follow-up of the field operation activities.
Site Coordination involves staffing the HVDC site, monitoring of required training in the projects (e.g. electrical safety), travel preparations as well as providing information to staff before travelling to site.
Site Manager tasks:
Responsibility for all activities on the site, including personnel, health, safety, environment, integrity, and quality
Assume ownership of the delivery - of the contractual requirements. You are HVDC Service's representative towards the customers and other external parties (local authorities, contractors, etc.).
Responsibility for the planning and progress of the site's activities such as installation and commissioning.
Responsibility for mobilization on site as well as demobilization after completion of the project.
