If your answer is YES to the above questions, we have several interesting opportunities, this is one of them! We are looking for a Simulation engineer, working with our Thermal Management systems focusing on solutions for battery electrical and fuel cell vehicles.
We, at EATS and auxiliaries, are a group of fantastic and dedicated engineers working within several areas, one being Thermal Management Systems where we work towards tomorrow's zero emission propulsion systems. This is an area where we see will have enormous impact on our machines ' ability to meet and exceed customers' expectations on drivability, machine power and range of operation. We are growing in this area and we welcome you to be part of this journey.
EATS and auxiliaries are a part of Sustainable Power Systems. At EATS and Auxiliaries, we have the responsibility for development of hardware solutions for Thermal Management to all of our construction equipment machines being developed. In EATS and auxiliaries we work with simulation of the systems but also hardware design and software requirements. We work together with software engineers in an agile team, taking full responsibility for the complete system with hardware solutions and software control. The scope is the complete development cycle from design and implementation to testing in machines.
What We Offer?
In the simulation engineer part, you will play an important part in the development of our thermal management systems. You will be involved from the very beginning of the projects, finding and evaluating concepts for the thermal management systems with base in simulation work. As projects matures, you will be part of verifying correct input for stakeholders to the thermal management systems. Your work consist of, e.g.:
Create correct requirements for the components served by the thermal management system
Deliver performance requirements for components in the thermal management system
Method development of simulation work
Create control algorithms for software engineers to develop
Be part of verification activities to ensure customer expectations are met
Guide and assist in the thermal management agile team with your knowledge about possibilities and challenges in order to help the team to make a winning solution
The end application is construction equipment machines such as wheel loaders, excavators, and articulated haulers. The work is based in close cooperation with both your colleagues within the thermal management system team, but also engineers working with driveline solutions.
Our Culture
We are an innovative multi-national team where you will have good opportunities for your development. We work closely together and support each other in our day to day activities, so it will be easy to get up to speed and become a part of our team. We offer a wide variety of competence development and good possibilities for you to further grow and take on new interesting tasks. Your colleagues are fun, passionate, and always ready for new technical adventures.
Who are you?
A curios and enthusiastic engineer with a passion for new technology areas where everything is not always defined. At the same time, you understand the importance of finding solutions which can be applied with the right quality and at right cost and time. As a person, you are a true team player and you also like to take responsibility for your area of work.
The job requires a holistic view in order to balance requirements to find solutions of systems which can be used at multiple end products. In order to succeed, you have gained knowledge in the area of thermodynamics, possible by designing cooling systems or HVAC systems. You have knowledge within 1D simulation tools, such as GT-Suite, Flowmaster, Amesim or similar. You probably have experience within automotive development and processes, but you can also have worked with similar questions in other areas. These experiences are needed to meet customers and authorities requirements on quality and legal fulfilment for our components building thermal management systems.
You are analytical, have a structured way of working, and you enjoy being on top of things. Sharing your knowledge with others and understand that the end solution is the result of many different skills is a guiding star for you. You also have a will to propose ways to improve the systems, based on findings from your simulations. We hope that you are interested in this position and are passionate about creating a sustainable future together with us!
