hela Sverige At Volvo Powertrain Engineering in Malmö we are looking for a simulation engineer. We have global responsibility for turbochargers as one of our main tasks. In addition to this we have an extensive engine test facility and a complete team for engine component product development.
As a simulation engineer engine performance you will have an important role to set up, calibrate and perform gas exchange simulations using in-house (ICES), as well as commercial software (GT-Power). The work will cover both turbo charger matching as well as future engine concept studies. Gas exchange model correlation/calibration is typically based on test data, thus close cooperation with the engine and component testdepartment is a natural part of your daily activities. We have a continuous need for improvement of our main software ICES and its sub-models for NOX, friction losses etc , why method development will also be part of your activities. You will work in an innovative and professional environment and belong to an engineering team with specialist competence in combustion engines and turbochargers. We have strong focus towards virtual work in our product development.

Wanted profile
We are looking for an committed engineer who has a strong interest in mechanical engineering and especially combustion engines. Skills in programming and Matlab/Simulink are valued. You shall be communicative and enjoy teamwork with the ability to interact and cooperate effectively. You are humble, have a positive attitude and a drive to deliver results in time.
Qualifications
• Master of Science in mechanical engineering or similar technical education is preferred with experience from turbo and/or engine development.
• ICES - experienced user
• Matlab - advanced user
• Fluent in English
