Job description
FOSS Nordic A/S is looking for a Service Technician with a unique combination of technical and personal skills to support our customers in Sweden. By applying your technical knowledge and a customer centric attitude, you will support our customers and help us deliver unrivalled quality of products and services.
The job
As a Service Technician, you will visit our customers and prove service to our analysis equipment as well as installing new equipment. As a part of our service, we offer customer training which will also be part of your daily tasks. You will be solving ad hoc tasks while visiting the customers as well as over the phone and via emails.
Together with your colleagues, who are based in Sweden and Denmark, you will be part of our on-call duty. 40-80 travelling days per year should be expected - sometimes with short notice as per the business needs. You will be supported by a coordinator who will have the first point of contact with the customers.
Your base will be at your home address - preferable in Västra Götaland. From time to time, you will support our customers outside Sweden - but your customers will primarily be located in Sweden.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate is a professional within electronics/low current, has a good understanding of problems with hardware/software and has a minimum of 2 years of experience from a similar position.
We constantly improve our devises. Therefore, you must have a flair for software and an interest in learning new systems. We use leading edge technology and expect you to be interested in constantly improving our services to the customers.
You will primarily communicate in Swedish, but since we are an international company, and your colleagues are placed all over the globe, we expect you to be able to communicate in English - in speech and in writing.
Personal skills
The position requires that you work systematically and structured and that you can quickly familiarize yourself with complex technical problems. Since your manager is placed in Denmark, you should demonstrate that you are an 'independent team player' with a good understanding of working independently as well as helping your colleagues.
It is essential that you are customer and service oriented, able to meet short deadlines as well as handle unexpected problems. You should enjoy the challenge of problem solving and come up with thought through practical solutions.
