Vestas Northern and Central Europe is a business unit covering Scandinavia, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Poland, Finland, the Baltic States, Germany, Benelux as well as Eastern Europe and the southern part of Africa. We are responsible for sales, projects, installation and service for wind farms in these regions. We have a regional office in Malmö as well as warehouses around the countries.
Service Nordics is responsible for service and maintenance of our wind turbines in Sweden, Finland, Denmark and Norway. Vestas Northern and Central Europe strives to be the highest performing business unit within Vestas, both in terms of modern energy and customer satisfaction as well as being the most attractive place to work. With these ambitions, the service technician who takes care of our customers' turbines plays an important role in the frontline of our service agreements. In this role, you will work in an exciting industry in teams with dedicated employees.
Responsibility
Right now, we are looking for a service technician for Kalix, who will be part of the service team responsible for service and maintenance of our wind farms in Norrbotten. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude who enjoys working in teams. The service places high demands on accuracy and professionalism as we are extremely keen that our service work is carried out with the highest quality and safety. To be fully successful in the tasks, we believe that you are a person who has good knowledge of electricity and/or mechanics, is service-oriented and business-minded.
Your duties will include:
Troubleshooting and repair of wind turbines, both mechanical and electrical
Service and maintenance of wind turbines in accordance with service agreements
Customer contact with ownership of upcoming service/repairs and clear reporting of actions taken
Responsibility and maintenance of the service vehicle incl. its warehouse
Responsible for spare parts and inventory of local stock as well as orders of materials/spare parts/tools, returned goods, etc.
Daily reporting and registration in our ERP system, SAP
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
Experience or education in electrical or mechanical. You are also willing to develop your skills in the areas of
Good general computer skills
Good oral and written proficiency in both Swedish and English (corporate language)
Previous experience as a service technician or similar work is an advantage
Driving licence

When working at height, good physical fitness is required

You are open to any unplanned overtime
Special requirements
The position involves travel with overnight stays for various further training courses as well as assistance in other areas. For this position, a high degree of flexibility in terms of travel and working hours is therefore an absolute requirement.
A requirement for obtaining employment is that you are approved for mast and pole certificates, which consist of a load ECG and medical examination, which is carried out during the recruitment process.

Additional information
Your primary place of work will be in Kalix. You should expect some travel activity, about 15 days per year.
