Within CED, IT Services (ITS) is responsible for all End User & Collaboration, Infrastructure & Platform Services within Volvo Car Group globally. Our mission is to develop and deliver business valued IT Services to drive globalization, growth and change, with continued cost efficiency. As individuals and as a team we are accountable for working according to the guiding principles; act proactive and professional, strive for speed and quality in deliverables, build close business interaction and understanding.
The Workplace Services team is responsible for a wide range of Digital Workplace services, including Workstation Services and Enterprise Mobility. We currently work out of a sourcing model where partners cares for the operational model and delivers daily operations. Our job is to make sure that the services meet the business requirements, both short- and long term. This is done by supplier management, governance and clear strategies.
We are now looking for a Service Manager - Hardware Lifecycle Management (HLM).
About the position
The role as Service Manager HLM (Hardware LifeCycle Management) at Volvo Cars comes with lots of responsibility - and lots of fun. You will be part of the team that leads how the digital workplace are designed and provided to global users at Volvo Cars. This means that there is two parts in the position: a global part that aims at supporting all local HLM activities with processes, procedures, methods and secure common, global tool support and a local part that is to manage HLM operational for the biggest local site, Sweden.
HLM today covers personal computer hardware like laptops, desktops and workstations and its peripherals, likely it could evolve to cover other type of personal computing devices like tablets and smartphones. Your to-do list includes:
* Own and govern tactical and operation delivery of HLM Service at Volvo Cars, in order to align strategies and roadmaps for the service and business needs.
* Own and manage the computer and peripherals in the Global Product Catalogue.
* Act as key stakeholder for relevant information in the CMDB (Asset register)
* Along with your closest colleagues in the Workstation Services team bridge and connect single functions to a whole - the lifecycle of a digital workplace provided to global users at Volvo Cars.
* Ownership and managerially responsible for the Service delivery in Sweden, where the tasks are fulfilled by a contracted supplier.
* Own and be accountable for needed lifecycle, inventory, stock for Volvo Cars Swedish Assets
* Provide and support your worldwide local HLM colleagues in given HLM process, procedures and tools.
* Manage agreements and relations with suppliers and constantly work with improvement of their deliveries.
* Own and manage procurement portal(s) for all products and accessories in the product catalogue
* Be the center and principle of HLM related activities at Volvo Cars.
* Drive HLM specific communities
* Advocate HLM, hence evangelize how Volvo Cars gain and accelerate business of it.
About you
* At least 8 years of experience within IT, where of 3 years as lead in an organization managing large scale Asset Management and HLM for computer hardware.
* Experience of working in physical teams as well global virtual teams. Nevertheless, skilled to excel on your own.
* Experience of working and collaborate with suppliers, sourcing providers, subcontractors and internal customers.
* Strong communication skills.
* Contract and negotiation skills.
* Good English and Swedish, in speech and writing.
* Certified knowledge of as well an interest in ITSM, and specifically SACM.
* Minimum ITIL Foundation v3 certified, higher/broader considered meritorious.
* Experience of conceptual CMDB design and requirements corresponding to personal computing devices.
* Having worked in a multi-national organization.
* Project Management skills.
