The mission for a Service Engineer is to develop, document and produce service information and labor times for repair procedures for the Heavy Duty Trucks range.
We are striving for participating in early phases of product development projects, contributing with serviceability expertise.
The work will be conducted in a multicultural environment and collaboration with sub-suppliers of technical documentation will be a part of the assignment.
The assignment includes both theoretical and practical parts. Verification of the result is either taking place on physical components or vehicles in the workshop or done virtually.
Main Responsibilities:
• Analyze the impact of new projects
• Give feedback on product design to improve serviceability
• Perform repair methods studies and time measurement, corresponding to Volvo's demand on safety, quality, environment and serviceability
• Author and publish service information
• Participate in and contribute to global projects
• Maintenance of existing information
• Plan own and subcontractors deliveries
• Coordination and support to sub-contractors

Qualifications:
• Master degree or equivalent experience
• Fluent in English, Swedish - both written and spoken
• Repair knowledge
• Information management skills
• Experience in CAD tools
• Vehicle product knowledge
• End user/workshop knowledge
• Multicultural experience
