IT is a crucial part of this transformation as Scania's success is depending on flexible and efficient IT solutions that support current and future business requirements.
The department Service Delivery IT is responsible for supporting Commercial operations and connected processes with IT solutions and services. In the department we are responsible for the design, development, implementation and maintenance of IT solutions. We are now looking for a new group manager to the group ARS & Vehicle related services.
Scania aims to be the Leader for Sustainable Transport Systems, creating a world of mobility that is better for business, society and the environment. IT is a vital enabler on this change journey. In order to successfully support this, we are currently within a significant change towards improved flow orientation and a focus on agile ways of working. To increase the efficiency and flexibility within IT we have also started the journey towards new technology to help us improve in several areas.
We are now looking for a group manager to join the group ARS & Vehicle related services within the section Parts Logistics & Assistance. The group develops and maintains several critical applications in collaboration with Commercial Operations, Research and Development, and Production and Logistics. We are currently in an exciting phase, working with Greenfield development. We are also constantly overviewing legacy applications for improvements connected to new technology.
The team is today self-organized with a mix of junior and senior developers, architects and more. We have during the last years put time and effort into talents coming directly from the university, through Scanias "I-Talent program". During these years the average age in the team has been reduced heavily and we now have a young team that has been built around finding the right people instead of focusing on the right competences. The team has knowledge transfer and education included as a big part of the process and the team members experience range from a few months up to many years. The talents are being taught by our more senior team members every day, which has proven very successful for us. We strongly believe that the team spirit and the people in the team is the most important thing we have and we hope that you share that viewpoint.
Within the line-responsibility the team handles one of Scanias largest proprietary systems built on BMC Remedy AR System, with which a vast majority of the deliveries from the team are based on. The team are also responsible delivering solutions to the businesses based on .NET Framework.

Prerequisites
• Track record working within IT and able to support in technical questions
• Servant leadership approach, creating the foundation for the team
• Knowledge about agile ways of working
• Understand & support the deliveries from the team
• Coach and lead the team to maximize their potential
• Relevant university degree in the IT field and/or equivalent experience
• Proficient in written and spoken English
