Scope
Supplier Quality Management 's (SQM) overall activities are focused on product and process performance at external suppliers, supporting both new programs and running production.
Your role will be focused on having a coordinating responsibility for the regional quality assurance work at supplier sites within the Battery Systems and Components area. Here you will be aligning & ensuring execution of regional supplier strategies together with other Site SQM 's but also work closely with the responsible Global Expert SQM in the team.
In this capacity, you will interact closely with other internal stakeholders such as the Engineering department, production plants IMQ and Resident SQM.
Belonging to the procurement organisation, you will also be an important member of the category team together with buyers, Cost Engineers and other Site SQMs.
What you will do
More specifically, you are to lead or support within the areas of:
Regional Category SQM - Battery systems and components:
In addition to some dedicated supplier production site responsibilities, you will be the main internal contact for regional supplier quality related topics within the procurement team of Battery systems and components, aligning supplier strategies & execution with the other Site SQM 's working in the region.
Sourcing for Quality:
You will support Category Business Plan, assess potential of suppliers prior sourcing and support sourcing with Quality data analysis
Quality assurance of new vehicle launch
Your tasks will be to drive quality execution of manufacturing related issues at suppliers, quality assurance of supplier processes with suppliers APQP and establishing action plans and analysing capacity of supplier manufacturing lines. In addition, you will guide other Site SQM 's in execution of these and similar tasks.
Supplier site Improvement:
You will lead & occasionally guide your colleagues in performing SEMAT (Supplier Evaluation and Assessment Manufacturing Tool) assessments at supplier production sites (incl. resolution of open actions).
You will drive continuous improvement and resolution of systemic site concerns, develop work plan to reduce number of quality incidents and schedule and conduct reviews with supplier management as required.
Do you fit the profile?
You have a Bachelor's degree within electro chemistry (battery) or equivalent experience within the field.
You have knowledge and experience in area of high voltage battery systems, components and power electronics and knowledge of quality methods used in automotive industry (e.g. APQP, PPAP, FMEA, 8D etc.).
Furthermore, being fluent in English (written and verbal), having driver 's licence and ability to travel on frequent basis (incl. long-term international travels) are required.
