The mission of the Senior Reliability & Maintainability Engineer is to support the development of the aircraft with reliability and maintainability as a core value, and to establish, implement, and refine the ways of working.
As an electric aircraft, this will require novel and innovative approaches to the design of the structure and installed systems.

This is a broad role covering design support, analysis, and compliance finding. In this role, you will provide specialist support to all other Engineering groups including systems and structures.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Develop and implement policies, processes, procedures, standards, and tools.
- Conduct reliability and maintainability assessments and analysis.
- Support the development and ensure the maturity of the Maintenance Messages, and Initiated Tests, within the Onboard Maintenance System.
- Closely follow Qualification, Endurance, and Flight & Ground Test campaigns aiming to find, characterize, and resolve issues.
- Develop and assess the Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA) and Technical Training Materials (T1, T2, and practical) and ensure they are accurate and effective.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a comprehensive and integrated approach to reliability and maintainability.
- Represent the team at technical and program reviews as well as customer/supplier meetings, ensuring the reliability and maintainability meets all stakeholder requirements.
- Support the certification process including activities with the Airworthiness Authorities.
- Encourage a culture of continuous learning, facilitating knowledge transfer, and provide mentorship and coaching.
You will report to the Head of Mechanical Systems and your place of work will be at our main office located in Gothenburg, Sweden.
- Minimum 10 years of experience within an EASA Part 21J Design Organization, or equivalent.
- Experience with aircraft programs throughout the entire design development, certification, and operation lifecycle for EASA/FAA Part 23 or 25 aircraft.
- Direct experience with Reliability and Maintainability engineering.
- Knowledge of reliability analysis and predictions, FMEA and MSG-3.
- Experience with maintenance messages development and prognostic logics.
- Involvement in development testing including rig tests and aircraft ground/flight tests.
- Proficiency in coordinating activities of engineers internally and in partner/supplier companies.
- Practical experience with systems equipment qualification activities (RTCA DO-160) is a merit.
- Direct experience with aircraft field support is a merit.
- Relish challenge and working in a dynamic environment.
- Aptitude for creative thinking and problem solving.
- Able to adapt to new challenges and go beyond the original field of expertise.
- Passion for involvement with aircraft development.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Eagerness to work with others in an integrated team.
- Passion for aircraft and electrification of the aviation industry.
Education:
- Graduate degree in Aerospace/Mechanical/Electrical discipline, or equivalent experience.
We recommend you submit your application in English as soon as possible as selection and interviews are held continually.
