The Purchasing department at Plastal Industri AB in Gothenburg is responsible for all purchases within the group including the plants in Sweden, Norway and Belgium. Components and indirect material are the largest purchasing categories and of most importance due to their impact on the production performance and the cost level. We are now looking for: Senior Purchaser- Indirect material and Components
As Senior Purchaser we are offering you the opportunity to work in an interesting position in the automotive plastics industry. Your main responsibilities are to ensure suppliers commitment to Plastal?s needs in terms of quality, delivery, commercial conditions and performance in the projects. You will be sourcing certain components and also be responsible for several indirect purchasing categories, e.g. electricity, transportation and staff rental.
Main tasks:
Source, secure performance, negotiations and close agreements with suppliers
Drive cost reduction changes together with the production plants and the suppliers
Participate in the projects by making supplier selections in cooperation with the plants to secure acceptable technical solutions and a commercial approach
Follow the technical development within the categories and contribute with front edge competence to the organization
We are looking for a person with several years experience from purchasing, preferably in the automotive industry. It is important that you have excellent negotiations skills, international purchasing experience and a strong interest in building business relationships. You will be working in an international business environment and your traveling frequency will be normal and mainly in Northern Europe. You have a university degree in engineering or finance. Personal characteristics looked for are ability to build business relationships, structured approach, initiative and a clear focus on delivering results. You have good verbal and written communication skills in both English and Swedish.
