About the Digital Workplace Unit
The Digital Workplace unit is an integral part of the Tech Center Core platform, with a vision to make our digital solutions the heartbeat of innovation. Our mission is to deliver secure, user-friendly, and scalable enterprise platforms that empower every colleague, optimize processes, and create magical customer experiences. The Managed Service Devices team, acting as both engineering experts and product owners, is central to this global service initiative.
Role Description
To enhance our colleague experience, we aim to modernize or retire legacy applications, making them accessible from any device, any network, and eliminating the dependency on traditional virtualization platforms. In some cases, the goal is to upgrade end-user experience by deploying modern devices. We are therefore seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead an in-depth analysis and planning initiative regarding our virtualized footprint. This project will involve assessing dependencies and identifying potential replacement solutions that affect all global personas currently using our virtualized platform.
A critical aspect of this role is engaging with application owners who still rely on legacy native Windows applications. Many of these applications must be retired, replaced, or transformed into web-based solutions, requiring robust stakeholder management, influence, and detailed planning.
Key Responsibilities:
• Independently drive the analysis phase, establishing a clear roadmap for the transformation.
• Gather and consolidate requirements from various parts of the organization.
• Engage and collaborate with application owners to secure commitment for replacing, retiring, or modernizing legacy applications.
• Develop a shortlist of potential solutions tailored to different personas or use cases.
• Initiate dialogues and organize meetings with potential suppliers in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
• Deliver a comprehensive recommendation, including pros and cons and an estimated total cost of ownership (TCO) for each proposed solution, ensuring alignment with key decision-makers.
Desired Qualifications and Competencies:
• At least 5 years of proven experience in technical project management, successfully driving initiatives from inception to completion.
• Excellent communication skills and a strong ability to engage with multiple stakeholders, both internal and external.
• Ability to work autonomously while effectively collaborating within multidisciplinary teams.
• Deep understanding of the digital workplace landscape and modern application solutions.
• Solid knowledge of authentication methods tailored to diverse user personas.
• Experience with virtualization technologies and migration strategies is highly advantageous.
• Proven track record in engaging application owners and managing organizational change.
• Prior experience working within a similar large, international group is a plus.
• Fluency in English is required.
