Senior Programmer Analyst - Microsoft .Net Framework
Overview:
The Programmer Analyst develops procedures for the solution of a variety of well-defined business problems, or for segments of complex and difficult problems or systems. The Programmer Analyst plans the computations or processes necessary for computer solutions.
Work Description:
• Works independently on routine assignments.
• Receives instructions and guidance on more complex assignments.
• Independently programs segments of complex problems.
• Utilizes some evaluation of originality but within accepted standard practices.
• Performs more difficult tasks under close supervision. Work is usually reviewed by higher level personnel for accuracy of judgment applied and compliance with instructions. Has limited responsibility for the work of others.
• Performs some or all of the duties required of a Programmer as necessary to complete assignments.
• Performs some or all of the duties required of a Systems Analyst as necessary to complete assignments.
Required Competence:
Experience:
• Should have 4+ years of experience in development on Microsoft Technologies in an enterprise environment
• Excellent knowledge of multiple technologies like ASP.NET, C#, C and C++.
• Strong functional knowledge on E-learning platforms.
• Ability to understand the requirements given by the client and implement a quick solution.
• Problem solving skills and debugging skills.
Technical skills required:
• ASP.NET and C#
• Strong knowledge on various versions of .NET Framework - 2.0, 3.5, 4.0
• Knowledge of Web control tools - Infragistics, Telerik and Ext JS
• Project experience in ORM, .Net RDLC, SQL Reporting Services (SSRS) and SSIS
• Strong knowledge on SQL SERVER (Versions 2000, 2005 and 2008)
• HTML, JavaScript, AJAX
• Handling of Web Services
Other Required skills:
• Experience of working in the complete Software development life cycle involving analyzing and developing application.
• Good design concepts and exposure to design patterns and best practices.
• Ability to analyze complex issues and recommend solutions.
• Address issues in performance, scalability and manageability in programming efforts.
• Should be able to perform effective code reviews and provide suggestions to developers.
• Good work ethics with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Required Credentials:
• Valid Passport with valid work and residence visas if applicable
• University Degree awarded from an accredited Institution (Recognized by the US or Sweden):
• BS or higher degree in either Computer Science Engineering or Management Information Systems
• Valid Driving License (EU: Class B or US: Class B equivalent or higher)
• Microsoft .Net Certifications Desirable
Needed Personal Skills:
• English Language Skills: ADVANCED
• Only one candidate is being sought to fulfil this specific role - there will be minimal role and responsibility overlap. The candidate must be able to work on their own with minimal supervision and support. Attention to detail and ability to handle changes in a complex environment are important.
