The mission for the new recruitment team is to enable the future success and growth of Volvo Cars by proactively identifying, matching and selecting the most qualified candidates. The team shall deliver an excellent recruitment experience that position us as the employer of choice. The recruitment team is a part of the Centre of Expertise People Management which consists of several highly skilled teams including Volvo Car Academy, HR Project Management office, Organization, Culture & Leadership, Performance & Reward and Talent Acquisition. As senior manager for the recruitment team, you will report to VP Center of Expertise People and Organisation. The recruitment team should be in forefront when it comes both to technology and processes and it is important that the senior manager stays updated with the latest and greatest in talent acquisition.
Main responsibilities
Build up an in-house recruitment team to manage internal and external recruitments
Develop team capabilities in proactive search, screening and selection of candidates
Understand the business needs and manage the recruitment services accordingly
Lead, coach and develop the recruitment team members
Participate in global talent acquisition process team
Close collaboration with the business regarding succession planning, career development, and talent pools (internal / external)
Follow up and govern recruitment process efficiency and effectiveness and strive for optimization
Continuous supplier management within the area
Handle budget and aim for highest value with lowest cost
Required qualifications
University degree in HR, or equivalent
At least 5 years of experience in recruitment and search
Experience from talent acquisition in/for a global business with highly skilled personnel
Significant experience from a leadership role either as a line manager or project manager
Strong business acumen including understanding of business financials and commercial processes
Fluent in both writing and speaking English
Personal qualities
Role model of the Volvo Cars Culture and leadership behaviours
Customer oriented with a holistic approach
Strong ability to communicate effectively
Strong ability to develop efficient ways of working, developing new concepts
Strong drive for result; analytical skills
Excellent in building and maintaining client relationships
