Four full undergraduate programs (occupational therapy, physiotherapy, speech therapy and audiology) are within the section. The Occupational Therapy program provides education in bachelor's, master's and doctoral levels. The program has a creative research environment, with a focus on older persons, people in working life and children.

Subject area description
The subject is based on occupational science that encompasses the knowledge and study of man in activity, her ability to use her time and environment, physical as well as social and cultural. Furthermore, occupational science includes the knowledge of human engagement; desire and ability to have and take control of her life in the society she lives in. Activity and awareness of habits, lifestyles and the environment are also included.
Job assignments
The position consists of working in a learning environment with a strong focus on studentcentered learning. The tasks also include promoting educational development of how the learning of human sciences, medicine, natura! sciences, social sciences and technological disciplines are integrated with the learning of occupational science. The position includes teaching at the undergraduate and graduate education, research and supervision. Teaching takes place in both Swedish and English.
Eligibility
The qualifications for academic positions are given in Chapter 4, Section 3 - 4 of the Higher Education Ordinance.
PhD with demonstrated teaching skills and registered occupational therapist.
Assessment
Regulations for the evaluation of qualifications for academic positions are given in Chapter 4, Section 3 - 4 of the Higher Education Ordinance.
Firstly importance will be given to the assessment bases of scientific proficiency, where scientific skill is shown by the number of scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals, appropriations received in competition, participating research programs or research groups. Secondarily weight will be given for the pedagogical skills. In the assessment, emphasis will be placed on pedagogical skills of relevance to occupational science and teaching experience integrated with related topics. In addition, the applicant must have demonstrated teaching skills at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Skills must be well documented and in a way that makes it possible to assess the quality of the educational activities.
In the assessment, great importance will be given to cooperation skills in the teacher' s team and in communicative skills with students in both Swedish and English. Clinical experience and skill will also be taken into account through experience and skill as an occupational therapist.
Employment
Full time permanent position, located at The Institute of Neuroscience and physiology. First day of employment is by agreement.
