The basic training courses for nurses and radiographers lead to a professional degree as well as a bachelor's degree. The training of midwives and the different courses for specialist nurses lead to a professional registration in combination with a master's degree. All professional programmes lead to a professional registration. Moreover, the freestanding courses are offered at an advanced level, offering the possibility to continue studying towards a master's degree in one of the Institute's main subjects; nursing, reproductive and perinatal health, radiography and health care pedagogics. The Institute also offers a postgraduate programme leading to a PhD degree in Health Care Sciences.

Subject area description
Care Science is focusing on the person's experiences in relation to illness and suffering, partly in connection with recovery, maintenance and promotion of health and partly in connection with the biological body and sociocultural structures. A person's learning and the organisation of care is at the heart of care research.
Job assignments
The tasks include lecturing, course coordination, supervision and summative assessments in courses at a first, second and third cycle level with a focus on quantitative methodology. The mission as a course coordinator implies developing and coordinating learning objectives, learning activities and forms of summative assessments and assessment criteria in relation to content, purpose and current pedgagogical research as well as ensuring quality assurance of the education using validated evaluation methods. The position also requires the employee to work actively towards achieving the Institute's goals and business plan and to participate in common meetings and activities at the institution. The successful candidate is also expected to actively initiate and apply for external research funding.
Eligibility
PhD degree in Care Sciences (Health Sciences, Medical Biotechnology or Social Sciences) and shown pedagogical skills.
Assessment
First and foremost, scientific and teaching expertise will be required from the successful candidate. The current quality, extent and experience in teaching Quantitative Methodology to students within the Nursing and Radiology Nursing Programmes as well as experience from research in Care Sciences will also be of great signficance in the selection process. The applicant's administrative skills and ability to collaborate will also be considered. Qualification as a docent, teaching expertise and experience from research and teaching in Care Sciences is an advantage.
Employment
Part time, 20 %, temporary post for up to 24 months, located at The Institute of Health and Care Sciences. First day of employment is by agreement.
