Business administration is one of the major disciplines at Mälardalen University. Studies in Business and Economics at the Department of Business and Social Studies (DBS) is one of four areas of education with approximately 1250 full-time students enrolled in one of six educational programs, two of which are EPAS accredited. The faculty is specialized in organization and management; marketing; international business and entrepreneurship; finance and governance; economics; and political science.

The DBS faculty performs research within the research subject of Industrial Economics and Management (IEO) which is one of six research subjects at MDH. Today we are 4 professors, 6 associate professors (docents), 19 senior lecturers, 15 lecturers, 1 post docs and 9 active PhD-students. The research performed at the division is mainly externally funded and most PhD-candidates are part of the Swedish Graduate School "Management and IT" (MIT).

The area of Business administration is currently strengthening its position in both education and research. A well-established and experienced senior lecturer is therefore needed for further advancing the research activities and for reinforcing the way in which research informs the educational programs. As senior lecturer you will be part of the New Management-practices group (NMP), which is a group of researchers focusing on new forms, processes, action nets and ideas through which management is performed in, and around, organizations today. The group has a strong research competence in areas such as leadership; temporary organizing/projects; inter-organisational collaboration; the effects of digitalization on organisations etc.

Position description
The position includes teaching and research in the field of Project Management and general Organisation studies field. The teaching will include teaching at various levels to Business Administration students, and students at the Industrial Engineering and Management program. The teaching may also involve issues related to Change Management, Digitalization, Ethics, Equality and/or Sustainability. The position involves the supervision of students at bachelors' and masters' levels; course responsibility; and the development of new courses.

Also, the position involves creating opportunities for further advancing research in the field of Project Management and general Organisation studies field and contributing to connecting research to education, the development of the NMP-group, contributing to the acquisition of external research funding, strengthening the department's position through contributions to research leading to publication in international, peer-reviewed academic journals and in leading debate at national and international levels. The position includes an additional 20% research the first year for associate professors.

Finally, the position also involves participation in the development of the department and/or the School of Business, Society and Engineering, taking an active responsibility to further developing a creative environment and for advancing both research and the pedagogical development of Business Administration.

Assessment criteria
The applicant must have shown academic skills in the area of project management, for example through:

• documented ability to disseminate research in scientific journals, other scientific literature and to a broader public;
• documented ability to achieve results in the research area through cooperation in joint projects of benefit to academia and industry/the public sector/society in general.

The applicant must have shown teaching abilities in the area of project management, for example through:

• the planning, carrying out and evaluation of teaching as well as supervision and examination
• pedagogical developmental work within the area of the position
• integrating teaching with reserach
