Who are we, your new colleagues?
We are one of four product teams developing and maintaining the core application within the product development at Volvo (KOLA) - the heart of Volvo product documentation. We are team members of different background, genders and experiences. We have an open communication and always a helpful mindset. With us, you will take a key role in an agile team, striving for adopting DevOps manners.
In our team we have the possibility to work from the office in Lundby, Gothenburg every day but also the option to partly work from home. We look forward to expanding our team with one more java developer.
What will you be doing?
We are bit by bit transforming our monolith solution to a modern cloud native microservice architecture. Your work will be a mix of modernization, development of new functionality according to the new target architecture and some adjustments of the current java client.
In this role you will also be testing, deploying, operating and maintaining the solution, contributing to the solution design of new functionality. For you it's natural to continuously reflect upon how we can improve and take a dialogue on this with your colleagues.
Your personality is your major asset, but you also have:
Been working as a full stack java developer in an agile team and have gained experience through your own hobby projects. You have a university degree in software engineering, computer science or similar. You are proficient in Java 11 and you have knowledge about security standards.
To be able to work with us you need to have a valid work-permit for Sweden and be fluent in English. Swedish is a clear advantage, since your colleagues live and work in Gothenburg, Sweden.
It would also be nice if you have
Knowledge in asynchronous programming, microservice architecture, cloud services and test automation frameworks.
Knowledge in designing REST APIs
Experience from Spring framework
