Key Operational Responsibilities - Summary:
Define project target together with project steering committee
Lead Advanced Development projects (supported by Expert) reporting to a global steering committee
Lead Technical Investigations (supported by Expert) reporting to a global steering committee
Supervise Master Thesis students and Interns
Be the technical reference in Concept Development Projects
The role includes taking ownership of advanced projects (supported by Expert) and to deliver new solutions and concepts that fulfill identified consumer needs. E.g. transfer the voice of the consumer into cost efficient and verified technical solutions.
The ability to propagate knowledge within the team is important also towards the technical competence centers. One of the tasks is to preserve existing and create new relationships both within the organization and outside and to be the natural hub of technical insights.
For this position understanding of the physics that are at play in our products are required. Also a balance between creativity and at the same time a realistic approach is needed. To be able to deliver this balance it is necessary with a very strong interest in technology and a constant drive towards exploring new technology areas.
Also necessary are basic knowledge about how to navigate the patent landscape and to initiate (Recordal of Invention) and support the patent application process .
Requirements:
• Bachelor or Master of Science in Engineering or equivalent. Sub category: The equivalent of or; Design and Product Development, Applied Physics and Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering
• Has been active within a product development organization developing mass-market products, has a minimum of 3years of experience
• Has a documented skill to innovate new solutions that has been beneficial to the organization (Filed patent applications, products on market, etc)
• Has experience of testing procedures from a lab environment
• Practical experience eg. building prototypes or other equipment
Technical Skills:
Proficiency within technology areas connected to Air Care product Range ( Split, portable, Window Air conditioner) such as: performance testing, Structure design and CFD.
Foundation within :
Writing technical project reports (English)
Testing procedures and standards
Design of products in polymers
Project leadership in small teams
Product costing
Product design including ergonomics
Product creation process (e.g. PMF)
Patent processes
Performance of experiments and analyze experimental results
Work shop experience e.g. practical
