We are now searching for a Senior Game Content Designer with a knack for working with a diverse range of tools, designing and implementing content in a sustainable manner. We always strive to make Jorvik a little bit more magical and as a Senior Game Content Designer you will be part of a passionate group of designers creating exciting player experiences for young girls around the globe. Our ideal candidate is a great communicator with a few years in the industry that loves mentoring others and works well in cross-functional teams.
What you will be doing:
• Working alongside key stakeholders to define content strategy and cadence for the game.
• Owning and driving the content creation process for both new and existing content types (e.g. races, quests, events, etc).
• Understanding the capabilities and limitations of the current tools, proactively suggesting improvements to create a sustainable content production pipeline. Working well across disciplines to break down and realise these improvements.
• Prototyping mechanics for modular gameplay systems while ensuring that they can scale and be reused beyond the immediate scope.
• Mentoring designers in the team on how to create engaging content efficiently with the available tools.
We're looking for a game designer who:
• Has 6+ years of experience as a game content designer. Bonus if experience is on MMOs.
• Has experience working with a variety of tools, engine/editors and scripting languages
• Views constraints as fuel for creativity as our internal tools have a learning curve
• Is adept at data driven design
• Is inquisitive and possesses a proactive attitude
• Believes in our mission and values and empathy for our target audience
• Is analytical and understands the value that their work provides and the impact
