Position Description:
As Senior Forwarder you will be part of the Shipping team. You are responsible to ensure deliveries are executed on time, to the right cost, to the right quality and in line with customer's expectations and applicable regulations.
You are expected to be a proactive employee who takes ownership of the workload ahead, takes initiatives of assigned tasks and ensure that the requirements are fulfilled.
Close cooperation with several internal functions is required and good communication skills are a must to achieve results. Experience of shipping (both in project form and a daily transactions), customs handling and negotiations with forwarders are required.
The company is in an expanding phase therefore continuous development and improvement of role and related processes are required. We are expecting you to be a leading employee for the shipping function in this process.
Responsibilities:
• To ensure deliveries are executed on time, arrives on time, to the right cost, to the right quality and in line with customer's expectations and applicable regulations and documentation.
• Develop, implement and evaluate purchasing strategies within shipping.
• Secure the right frame contracts with preferred forwarding companies and ensure performance according to frame agreement.
• Support Logistics team and internal functions with all transport related inquiries
• Issue shipping documentation, handle Letter of Credit, customs clearance and other documentation needed for the deliveries
• Monitor and follow-up cost and performance of the shipping process
• Continuously improve role and related processes.
Your profile
The person we are looking for should have experience from similar work with logistics planning and transport bookings both in projects and in the daily operational flow. You are also comfortable in negotiations with freight forwarders and have knowledge of rules and regulations regarding transport and customs. You are a structured and organized person who likes to plan and perform improvements in role and processes, enjoy working with freight forwarding and are solution-oriented.
Proficiency in English and Swedish is required.
This role reports to the Manager Logistics.
The position is regular and 100% fulltime.
