hela Sverige The FIE (Fuel Injection Equipment) and EATS (Exhaust After Treatment System) engineering group is a part of the department developing Combustion Systems and is responsible for the development of fuel injection systems both high pressure and low pressure fuel system.
We work in close cooperation with performance and Exhaust Aftertreatment System engineers to achieve complete powertrain solutions of world class when it comes to fuel efficiency and legal emission compliance. We cover the full range from advance engineering through project development and product maintenance.
We are in search for a skilled Senior component engineer.
As a component responsible engineer You are the key person in the cross functional global team, consisting of function developers, purchasers, test engineers and suppliers.
Your responsibility is to specify, develop, calibrate, verify and validate system as well as components to meet well specified requirements. You are partly responsible to secure the competence and skills in your technical field by keeping yourself up to date with the latest progress within the industry and universities.
In addition to initiate and follow result from tests performed, you coordinate the technical aspects in close cooperation with our suppliers and our other development departments.
Main Tasks
• Evaluate technical solutions in cooperation with functional development, OBD requirements and suppliers
• Develop and maintain global application guidelines for FIE control
• Perform FIE calibration
• Define technical specifications and set design requirements for components and systems, establish verification plans, initiate simulations and testing
• Define and verify control and diagnostic functions together with function developers
• Follow and act upon field quality situations from a diagnostics and calibration perspective

Desired qualifications, experience and qualities
• M.Sc. degree in mechanical engineering, or equivalent
• You have a good understanding and experience of different mechanical, hydraulic or mechatronic components or systems
• You have experience from calibration and internal combustion engines
• You are flexible and manage several areas both theoretical and in practice
• Experience in developing functionality for controls systems of engine and EATS experimental testing is an advantage
• Ability to work in group as well as with people from other culture
• Fluent in English, both oral and written is mandatory, since the work is performed in global teams and good communication and networking skills in global cross functional teams
• Creative personality with ability to generate ideas, propose solutions and to solve problems
• You have a structured way of working
• Positive mind-set and ability to work in a dynamic organization
