Our goal is to deliver massive sales numbers to all of our connected merchants, while delivering the best bargain shopping experience to our customers. Fyndiq's platform facilitates the sale of thousands of products from hundreds of merchants every day. Fyndiq's growth is substantial, both revenue and traffic to the site grows 25% on a month-to-month basis. We are a young company of around 45 people with a tech team of six highly skilled engineers.
We are now seeking for a senior DBA/System administrator to our platform team
At Fyndiq we work in a way inspired by the open source community, and we rely heavily on communication via Github. We develop everything in-house, from server infrastructure and the backend code written in Python/Django to front end parts in JavaScript and HTML. We work in a Linux environment with a MySQL Database. As DBA/System administrator at Fyndiq, you will be a key competence in our platform team and you will be responsible for strategies how to handle our growth in which he load on the servers will multiply in the near future. You will plan and execute required reinforcements, such as designing and optimizing the database.
We believe that you are the right person for this job if you have at least four years of experience from operations and database operations, preferably from a fast growing transaction intense web site. You have really strong analytic skills and enjoy troubleshooting. If you also have experience from cloud computing , it's meritorious.
