Senior Catia V5 Sheet Metal Engineer

The Closure Section is one of the development sections within Painted Body & Closures and is responsible for the development of the Door Structure, Hinges and Sealing system.

We are in an expansion phase and we therefore need to strengthen our team with an experienced Senior Sheet Metal Engineer to secure long term competence and to deliver our future projects. As a Senior Catia V5 Sheet Metal Engineer you will develop our components in advanced engineering projects and in new car projects, from project start until approved project launch. The vacancy is available in the group Door Structure and Sealings that specifically works with technique development and implementation of the components, Door Structure, Door Hinges & Door Stop, Sealing System and Door bright trims. You will be a part of an engineering team that in unison develop engineering solutions that fulfill properties and process demands within decided cost and time frames. You will have possibilities to influence how the final product will be received by our customers and contribute to reach our overall targets. The work includes extensive contacts with other engineering departments and production within our company as well as with external suppliers.

Main responsibilities

• Catia V5 Sheet Metal Engineering
• Create and lead the technical system development of our area
• Contact with design teams, other R&D members and manufacturing to agree of required progress
• Follow up prototype car builds and manufacturing of the prototypes
• Be responsible to ensure that the technical documentation is available at the right level and at the right time
• Carry through design reviews with assignment manager
• Perform Benchmarking activities

Required qualifications

• Technical education at university level or equivalent experience
• Minimum 6 years engineering experience in Catia V5
• Fluent in English, spoken and written
• Good knowledge in sheet metal design is meritorious
• Experience of product development, preferably within the automotive industry will be an asset
• Studies with focus on Product Development is meritorious
