The section Powertrain NVH & Sound Quality is a part of the NVH (Noise, Vibration and Harshness) competence center within Product Development at Volvo Car Group. The NVH Center has the responsibility to ensure that the attribute Noise and Vibration is supported in the vehicle programs, both in terms of customer and legal requirements. Within the PT NVH & SQ section we have the responsibility for both engine and driveline, and their integration in the vehicle in car and engine programs as well as Advanced Engineering (AE). The team works integrated in all project phases, from AE to vehicle/engine production start, as well as field and quality issues, contributing with analysis and guidelines to improve the NVH attribute in our cars. We work with testing and analysing engines, transmissions, drivelines and the vehicle integration where the affect on car occupants caused by mainly engine and driveline NVH is evaluated. PT NVH & SQ works with state-of-the-art equipment, engine and chassis dynos. We have extensive communication with other internal design areas and our development center in Shanghai.
As a Senior Analysis Engineer NVH you will be apart of the team to strengthen the deliverables and development of next generation of engines and drivelines. Some of your responsibilities will be to lead and take responsibility in NVH assignments dependent of experience and knowledge and participate in the development of improved or new methods and guidelines.
Main responsibilities
• Perform NVH testing and analyses
• Participate in car program teams and communicate analysis results and guide the design work from an NVH perspective
• Participate in the requirement setting of the NVH attribute at system level
• Participate in the development of improved or new methods and and guidelines
• Participate in implementation of solutions in the vehicle/engine/driveline
Required qualifications
• Minimum M.Sc. Engineer or equivalent work experience
• Fluent in English, written and spoken
• Competencies in structural dynamics and/or acoustics
• Knowledge in Müller-BBM PAK, Head Artemis, LMS, Matlab and MS Oficce are an advantage
