www.ikanobank.comIkano Bank is currently looking for a senior Accounting Specialist to be placed in the new Head Office in Hyllie just south of Malmö. The role is a good match for you who have proven extensive experience as accounting specialist within the bank, insurance or audit sector and now want to take the next step in your career by joining a successful and value driven organization in an interesting phase of expansion. Responsibilities
In this role you will be an authority within the legal and accounting policies. You will act as adviser to Finance and other functions and contribute to the business by mapping and analyzing differences and dependencies between different local GAAP's. You will ensure that relevant accounting rules and standards and Ikano accounting policies are followed in the organization. You have to independently ensure that your expertise always is up to date and you also have the ability to communicate, educate and in other ways work through processes to be able influence other functions and stakeholders.
The main accountabilities will be to:
• Monitor, analyze and ensure implementation of new and changed accounting standards
• Monitor, analyze and ensure implementation of new and changed local GAAP for the branches as well as LUX GAAP for group reporting
• Support, advice and educate functions and stakeholders at all level in accounting and reporting related issues and when needed provide relevant reports and analyzes
• Update guidelines, standards and instructions according to changed standards within the area
• Communicate changed standards, ensure alignment and when needed conduct internal trainings
• Take part in different projects and ad-hoc inquiries related to accounting and reporting
As a successfully candidate you will have to deliver:
• An organizational understanding of relevant and changing accounting standards for the financial sector as well as the differences and dependencies between local standards
• Proactive provide the organization with analyzes and prestudies to ensure successful and timely implementations of new standards
• Value adding reviews and internal trainings to ensure that the Finance organization has relevant information and knowledge for the operations
Background
To fit the profile you need ten years experience of working as an accounting specialist within the bank or insurance sector or as senior contributor or advisor within accounting. You also need well documented communicative and educational skills that have added value to your organization. You have worked with financial instruments, hedge accounting and loan loss provisioning and can in a simple way explain the difference between operational and financial leasing from an accounting perspective - then you might be the right candidate for us.
Strong English skills with the ability to express opinions both written and verbally is crucial and we also assume that you have a university degree in finance or law or a similar educational background. We also believe that you have worked with a modern and integrated ERP systems and that you have a pragmatic and hands-on approach to your work.

To succeed in the role it is crucial with a big portion of integrity and strong analytical skills as well as the ability to comfortable communicate and build trustful relations based at all levels in the organization. Since we are a dynamic organization you need to be attracted by the possibility to work in a constantly changing environment where it is you who provide the structure. We appreciate a "hands on" and "down to earth" personality. The ability to combine independent and proactive analytical work with clear and pedagogical communication and change enabling will be a key factor to success.
