At Global Finance Operations you will be a key contributor to the creation of the next generation Finance community - One Finance. You and your team will develop and implement smart and nimble finance processes and tools to support the business in the best way. This will be done in close cooperation with Business Control in the functions as well as the Group Finance functions. Through networking and benchmarking you will be part of taking the Finance organization into a modern organization, ready to meet the challenges ahead of us.
We are now looking for a Senior Accountant to join the Financial Accounting team within Global Finance Operations. Our main focus is quality, efficiency and speed for maximum business value.
The Financial Accounting team consists of 12 dedicated employees who are responsible for providing financial data for Volvo Car Corporation to ensure timely, accurate and uniform data to internal and external parties.
Main Responsibilities
* Fixed Assets Accounting
* Participate in projects and initiatives relating to area of responsibility
* Guide and support the Global Accounting Centre, Madrid who is responsible for the rule based Fixed Assets activities
* Actively take part and develop accounting and analysis within area of responsibility
* Ensure the adherence of accounting guidelines
* Utilize digital technology in order to accelerate areas for improvements
Required qualifications
* University degree in Business Administration (major in finance or accounting) or equivalent
* Good knowledge in IFRS accounting standards
* Experience using SAP for Accounting is beneficial, but not a must
* Experience within Fixed Assets Accounting is beneficial, but not a must
* Fluent in Swedish and English verbally and in writing
Personal qualities
We are looking for an open-minded and driven team player who has good communications skills and high level of business acumen. Having a holistic mindset and good analytical skills are also key factors in this role. Further, you are motivated by working independently and being able to contribute on our exciting journey ahead.
