We are now seeking a manager for the TEC (training, education and consulting) section within Pharmacovigilance Services (PVS) department. You will have a global focus to further strengthen and develop our position in the areas of pharmacovigilance and patient safety, with the aim of safe and effective use of medicines in every part of the world.
The TEC section consists of one pharmacovigilance consulting team and one training and education team. As a section manager you will have HR responsibility for two team leaders and need to manage and develop the team leaders to ensure the TEC section has the required competence and capabilities to deliver according to set plans.
Main responsibilities
• Lead and manage the operations of the TEC section to achieve the objectives and deliverables in the 1-year & 4-year plans
• With the support of two team leaders implement annual work plans for the TEC section based on overall UMC strategies and goals and identified user needs
• Perform annual salary negotiations with all staff members of section within a department framework decided by the Department Head
• Collaborate with Product Management, IT and Sales teams on product/tool developments serving UMC needs and the WHO Programme for International Drug Monitoring
• Produce regular performance statements and figures for TEC section
Professional profile
• Pharmacovigilance experience from a clinical, regulatory or industry setting or providing public health services
• Experience with pharmacovigilance tools such as drug dictionaries and medical terminologies, and ICSR reporting database management systems, signal detection & analysis and XML format related reporting tools
• Experience with providing life science based training and education in a consultative environment Experience running customer facing programs with direct management of staff
• Master's Degree in life sciences, public health, or pharmacy
• Willing to travel
