Description:
The SAP PLM Functional Consultant will play a crucial role in implementing and supporting SAP Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions, focusing on Recipe Development, Specification Management, Product Change Management, Variant Configuration (with AVC), and Artwork Management integrated with ESKO WebCenter. This role requires a deep understanding of business processes related to product development and the ability to translate those requirements into effective SAP PLM configurations and solutions. The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and external vendors to ensure successful project delivery and ongoing system optimization.
Responsibilities:
1. Requirements Gathering and Analysis:
Conduct workshops and interviews with business users to gather and analyze requirements related to Recipe Development, Specification Management, Product Change Management, Variant Configuration, and Artwork Management.
Document business requirements, functional specifications, and process flows.
Identify gaps between business needs and standard SAP PLM functionality and propose solutions.
2. Solution Design and Configuration:
Design and configure SAP PLM modules to meet business requirements, including:
Recipe Management (e.g., Recipe Development, Formula Management).
Specification Management (e.g., Material Specifications, Regulatory Compliance).
Product Change Management (e.g., Engineering Change Requests/Orders).
Variant Configuration (e.g., Configurable Materials, Configuration Profiles).
Artwork Management integration with ESKO WebCenter, Packaging and Labelling Management
Develop and maintain configuration documentation.
Perform unit testing and integration testing of configured solutions.
3. ESKO WebCenter Integration:
Understand the integration between SAP PLM and ESKO WebCenter for artwork management.
Configure and support the integration for seamless data exchange between the systems, establish good end-to-end flow across SAP PLM and Esko WebCenter
Troubleshoot integration issues and work with ESKO and SAP technical teams to resolve them.
Define and configure workflows related to artwork approval and lifecycle management within the integrated environment.
4. Product Change Management:
Implement and support Product Change Management processes, including the creation and management of Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
Configure workflows and approvals for change management processes and integrations with MDG
Interpretation of FFF requirements
Ensure proper documentation and tracking of product changes.
5. Variant Configuration:
Configure and maintain variant configuration models to support configurable products.
Develop and maintain configuration profiles, dependencies, and selection conditions.
Ensure accurate and efficient configuration of products based on customer requirements.
6. Recipe Development and Specification Management:
Configure and support Recipe Management functionalities, including formula development, ingredient management, and recipe versioning.
Implement and maintain Specification Management processes for materials, packaging, and other product components.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
7. Testing and Training:
Develop test plans and test cases for functional and integration testing.
Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and resolve identified issues.
Develop and deliver training materials and conduct end-user training.
8. Support and Maintenance:
Provide ongoing support for SAP PLM and ESKO WebCenter solutions.
Troubleshoot and resolve system issues and user inquiries.
Perform system monitoring and performance tuning.
Apply SAP notes and support packages as needed.
9. Documentation and Communication:
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including functional specifications, configuration guides, and user manuals.
Communicate effectively with business stakeholders, technical teams, and external vendors.
Competence requirements:
• implementing WWI reports with SAP PLM, especially PLM and Document Management.
• Experience implementing WWI reports.
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience as an SAP PLM Functional Consultant.
• Strong knowledge of SAP PLM modules, including Recipe Management, Specification Management, Product Change Management, and Variant Configuration.
• Experience with ESKO WebCenter integration with SAP PLM.
• Understanding of artwork management processes.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of industry best practices for product lifecycle management.
• Experience with regulatory compliance in relevant industries (e.g., food, pharmaceuticals, chemicals).
