Job Summary:
Responsible for the sales and stock performance strategy at company level to meet and exceed sales targets, identifying opportunities and risks.
Implement new ways of working to increase efficiency in the team.
Working side by side with other functions (marketing, purchase, operations, IT, and customer experience) across the business to provide clear strategic direction and ensure the sale strategy is fully aligned with other areas of the business.
Job Specification:
Planning
Responsible for supporting commercial insights into the commercial plan, on business division and country level.
Owner of the sales plan by accurately forecasting demand, margin, returns, stock, private label share and price reductions on business division and country level. Main goal and responsibility is to maximize the sales by full price campaigns and activities as well as keeping a stock refreshment/optimizing the stock and selling through a reductions strategy.
Work with the brand and content teams to ensure all marketing activity is aligned with sales plan.
Ownership of the merchandise/on site personalization strategy to maximize the overall customer experience and selling potential of every visit.
Analysis
Prepare reporting and present in weekly sales meetings.
Daily sales performance reviews and execute actions as e.g. price reductions and extra full price campaigns where required.
Working closely with the purchase team in season reviewing performance of area and taking appropriate action to maximize profits
Mentoring and coaching members of the team (currently two Sales coordinators).
Partnerships - lead our strategy for building relationships with complementary third party market places and B2B partners - that can add growth/profit or benefit as stock clearance channel.
Working with external partner for driving commercial revenue (ad sale) from external suppliers.
Initiate and drive new projects as dynamic pricing etc.
Requirements:
• Educated to degree level
• Numerate and commercial profile (advanced in excel is a must)
• Extensive experience (>5 years) and deep understanding of retail and merchandize best practices
• Highly organized and process driven
• Self-motivated and enthusiastic approach to work
• Ambitious and driven who excels in challenging high pace environment
• Team player, able to work with multiple business functions to achieve objective
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and quick actions
