We are looking for a Safety Coordinator to be based in
Stockholm for our Rail Control Solutions Division.
Rail Control Solutions (RCS) is a world leader in developing, engineering and installing rail control and signalling safety systems, products and services.
RCS enables the safe and efficient operation of rail networks and trains.
Your Role:
You will fill the role as a safety coordinator in different bids and customer projects. The safety coordinator ensures that all safety aspects falls in line with the set timetable of the projects and that safety documentation is delivered on time and has the right quality to get safety approval of our systems.
You will also be contact person for external parties (customer, authorities etc) as well as internal parties. Preferably you can also take the role as safety engineer, initiating and performing safety and risk analyzes in order to monitor the safety of different systems
Your Challenges:
• Coordinate safety work in bids and customer projects
• Initiate and perform hazard/risk analyses
• Participate in development of safety processes and improvement activities
Your Experience and Qualifications:
• We believe you are educated to degree level or have gained equivalent knowledge through 3-5 years of relevant working experience
• Ability to take decisions concerning the safety issues in projects.
• Ability to initiate and perform hazard/ risk analyses for different systems.
• Knowledge of CENELEC standards and European rail traffic laws and regulations.
• Very good knowledge of the railway business, approval processes and technical systems
• Be able to lead others, guiding members of different projects as well as other employees, assessors and customers.
• Good coordination skills.
• Be able to identify and implement flexible solutions to complex problems with high integrity and safety awareness.
• Good communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
• Be able to travel to some extent.
• Fluent in English, Swedish is an advantage
In order to be successful in this position you need be well organized, structured and with the ability to work effectively against deadlines. Since this position includes cooperation with both internal and external stakeholders, you need to be social with good communication and collaborative skills but you also need to have a high degree of integrity.
