Job assignments
The postdoctoral fellow will be responsible for analyzing changes in morphometry of sponges and to evaluating impacts of sponge silicification on silica biogeochemistry.

We seek a postdoc/researcher with a specialty in the morphology of sponges. The work will be carried out as part of a multi-disciplinary team investigating changes in the biogeochemical cycle of Si through geologic time. The postdoctoral fellow will be responsible for analyzing changes in morphometry of sponges and to evaluating impacts of sponge silicification on silica biogeochemistry.

Qualifications
Ph.D. degree (or equivalent) in an environmental science discipline, for instance in geology, biology, aquatic sciences or biogeochemistry. The candidate must have expertise regarding sponges. The ability to meet firm deadlines and a willingness to communicate research results is important. We welcome candidates with enthusiasm for collaboration within a multidisciplinary team, as well as an aptness to pose and solve problems individually. The candidate must be willing to travel. Excellent written and spoken English is a requirement.
