At the School of Health, Care and Social Welfare our students are studying to be for example behavioural scientists, public health scientists, physiotherapists, nurses, social workers and specialist nurses. Here we have the research specialisation of Health and Welfare. Our work takes place in cooperation with and in strategic agreements with county councils, municipalities and companies in the region.

Position description
SALUTOGEN is a research project focusing on user-centered development of technology supporting and promoting seniors to increase fall prevention physical activity. The project is a collaboration with four companies, Västerås Municipality and Västmanland County Council and Mälardalen University. The project builds on close co-operation with senior organizations and organizations promoting seniors' physical activity. The project started in 2017 and will end on the 30th of January 2020.
We seek a researcher, to be employed part-time (35%) during the last part of the project who will be the main responsible researcher for one of the four work packages (WPs) in the project, namely WP1 User Perspective. The responsibility includes
• planning, preparation and carrying out activities (including collection, analysis of data as well as documenting scientific results) in WP1 according to the project plan. This includes being the responsible researcher in the ethical vetting application for the projects sub-study3 (pilot study)
• being part of the project management team at MDH together with the project manager and the other two WP leaders
• participate in meetings with the collaboration project partners and other organizations relevant for the project;
For the listed activities, the researcher will be employed at MDH and will work in close collaboration with the organisations and researchers involved in the project.
The position is a temporary employment until 2020-01-30.
Qualification requirements
The applicant is required to have a PhD in Physiotherapy with the focus of co-design of digital support systems promoting physical activity.
The applicant needs to have documented experience of leading and participating in other projects where digital tools for self-care (that includes physical activity) have been developed in collaboration with companies, health care providers and users in the development.

Merit
The researcher should have a solid experience in clinical work as a physiotherapist. Experiences in eHealth, behavioural change support and promotion of physical activities are also required. Experiences in user-centred development with a gender perspective is a plus.
